How to treat bed sore with Indian nettle (Kuppaimeni) leaves – DIY

Bed sores that also called pressure sores, is an open wound on the skin and it is very common to people who underwent surgery, disabled, coma patients, paralyzed, and for the age old persons who are not able to alter their positions regularly. Bedsore develops quickly, if not treated properly it may lead to life threatening situations. Home remedies for bedsores are the significant ways of avoiding bedsores.

Indian nettle (Kuppaimeni) leaves along with castor oil acts as a good medicine for bed sores, ringworm, skin allergies, rashes and other skin diseases. Take a cup of fresh leaves, saute the leaves in castor oil, cool and apply the leaves on the affected area. Indian nettle plant can be found in many places, if not found the fresh leaves nearby, dry powder is also available in many organic shops.

Indian nettle leaves have many medicinal uses, let’s see the benefits one by one.

Indian nettle is commonly used to remove unwanted hair from the body. Applying the mixture of Indian nettle leaves and wild turmeric paste on parts of hair growth such as upper lips and arms regularly twice in a week will leave the skin free from hair.

The combination of Indian nettle leaves, neem leaves, and holy basil does wonders for your skin. Take equal quantity of all the three leaves, grind them and apply on the face as a pack to get rid of pimples and acne completely.

Indian nettle juice can be given to children to expel out the intestinal worms. The plant root is meant to treat dysentery.

Indian nettle juice mixed with castor oil can be applied on the knee with gentle massage to reduce arthritis pain.

Indian nettle leaves are also good to treat piles, constipation and dandruff.
