Avoid drying in direct sunlight as it can reduce the nutrient content. The leaves can be covered with mosquito netting to keep them clean while drying. The leaves will completely dry within a maximum of 3 days. Once the leaves are dried completely, add the dried leaves to a blender. Blend well into a fine powder. Store in an air-tight container to protect the powder (chooranam) from heat, humidity and light.
Moringa leaves powder is good for malnourished children, pregnant or lactating women, children at weaning age, and the elderly. Malnourished children ages 1 to 3 years should consume 25g of moringa leaves powder each day. Pregnant or lactating women should consume 50g each day.

Moringa powder iced tea
- 1 tsp Moring leaves powder
- ½ lemon
- 1 tsp honey
- Ginger slices
- 1 glass warm water
- Take warm water in a pot, add one teaspoon of dried moringa leaves powder. If you would like to make strong tea, you can add half a teaspoon more.
- Allow to steep for 5 minutes.
- Squeeze lemon and add ginger slices, allow to steep for 2 more minutes.
- Drain the tea, sweeten with honey.
- Pour into a glass, add ice cubes, garnish with slices of lemon and fresh mint leaves.
Do not use hot water, since hot water kills nutrients in moringa leaves powder.

- 1 tsp moringa leaves powder
- 1 banana
- A cup od fresh pineapple chunks
- An orange – peeled
- 1 cup filtered water or coconut water
- Add all the ingredients to a blender.
