How to cure sprain naturally – DIY

Sprain is caused when a particular muscle in the body suddenly gets too much pressure. The sprain may cause a sharp pain and rendering the portion of the body static for some time. Sprain causes pain, swelling, redness, decreased ability to move the limb and difficult to use the portion of the body.

There are number of home remedies for sprain. One simple kitchen remedy is to using turmeric, slaked lime and salt for sprain. Take equal portion of turmeric powder, slaked lime and salt. Mix all the three ingredients with lukewarm water. Apply the paste on the affected area. Leave it on overnight. Wash off in the morning, repeat the same for two to three days to get rid of sprain.

Turmeric benefits:

Turmeric has more than 300 antioxidants in it and that makes it a powerful healer. Turmeric is skin friendly and it cures all skin problems. Turmeric can be used as a face pack to cure acne, scars and marks on skin. It is good for oily skin as it regulates the production of sebum, an oil substance produced by the glands. The combination of turmeric, lemon juice, olive oil, and egg white can be applied on face neck, elbow and knees to cure dry skin. Turmeric is also good for wrinkles, signs of aging, soothes burn, stretch marks, remove skin tanning, dead cells and facial hair.

Slaked lime benefits:

Slaked lime is calcium hydroxide and it has many uses. It contains antimicrobial properties that make it very effective in treating infections and poultice. Apply slaked lime and honey to treat throat infection. Take equal portion of honey and slaked lime, mix them well and apply it over your throat. Slaked lime is considered beneficial for pregnant women but it is required to consume pure unadulterated slaked lime. Generally slaked lime is good for anemia, increases memory power, cures bone fracture, and for overall health for females of all ages.
