Take 2 sticks of licorice, place in a mortar and crush well. Heat 250 ml of water in a pan. Add crushed licorice and boil for 5 to 7 minutes in medium flame. Switch off, strain and cool down. Dip cotton ball in the boiled licorice water and apply it on the hives area. Repeat twice or thrice a week. This helps treat hives quickly.
